Attractive cliff that is closing the bay of Bunculuka at its east side is a bit of disappointment regarding rock quality, but despite that, this wall was the first to be bolted on island of Krk, back in 1996 by Tomaž Košir. Not the central part which is the most eye-catching and the most logical solution on first sight, but its far east side. A bit shorter wall, but surprisingly better in rock, allowed some fairly nice routes.

Located only couple of meters from the sea, walking distance from the center of Baška and less than 5 minutes from the campsite, this small crag soon became much more popular than one would expect! All original routes were completely rebolted with INOX equipment in June 2008 and some more were added. Today you can find 10 well equipped routes there, with rather close spaced bolts. This makes the crag suitable also for less demanding climbers, looking for some recreation after the day on the beach … or before! But in that case, if in high summer, you have to wake up early :-)

Max height:
Grades: 5a to 7b/c
Rock: Gray and yellow limestone. From thin and crumbly to full compact.
Type of climbing: Vertical or overhanged.
Protection: Very good! Equiped with Glue-in and some expansion bolts + top anchors with carabiners. All in INOX. Close spaced bolts for 100% security and availability.
Exposure: South and East.
Approach: 5 minutes from the central beach of FKK Bunculuka, 10 minutes from Kricin parking place (out of camping).
Children: Quite suitable also for those with small children! There is a shady pinewood just some meters from the crag.
Sun: From early morning until 5 pm.
Best season: Ideal periods are spring and autumn. It’s possible to climb on winter sunny days while during summer we suggest late afternoon, at least after 5pm, when almost all routes will be in shadow.
Tips: You would need to cross the beach of FKK camping Bunculuka to reach the crag. Sometimes during the summer season there will be a fee to pay in order to enter. The only way around is to negotiate with doorkeeper as you will only pass the camp, or to legally hike around the camp, starting at the parking near the reception.
